Witness rescues woman from car dangling over train tracks

WORCESTER, Mass. — A salon owner rescued a woman from a car dangling over an embankment in Worcester Thursday.

The car went off the road and almost onto the train tracks off Plantation Street.

A chain link fence was the only thing keeping the car from dropping 40 feet to the ground.

The Worcester Telegram reports the salon owner saw what happened and pulled the woman free.

She was one of his customers and was heading to an appointment.

She told him she hit the gas instead of the brakes.
