Westford Police investigating 'thorough' bank robbery

WESTFORD, Mass. — Westford Police are investigating a bank robbery that they believe was meticulously planned.

On Thursday, November 21, a suspect walked into the Enterprise Bank on Littleton Road just after 5 p.m. and demanded cash from two tellers on duty. The terrified bank employees did what they were told, what they were trained to do, and emptied out their cash drawers.

The suspect was completely covered up during the robbery and police say the suspect was very aggressive in the way he spoke to the tellers. As soon as it was over, the suspect ran outside, but police believe the suspect had help.

Police Lt. James Peloquin told Boston 25 News reporter Bob Ward that there was a second person on scene. An accomplice in a getaway car not only dropped the suspect off but picked him up around the corner.

The robbery went off without a hitch which is why police believe the suspect and his partner have experience robbing banks.

"It's certainly possible that they’ve done this before. And that they’ll do it again. We can't say for sure. However, it did appear there was very thorough planning and that they were familiar with the inside of the bank," said Peloquin.

Westford Police are sharing never-before-seen surveillance video of the robbery with Boston 25 News. They're hoping the video might help them break the case. If you have any information, you're asked to call Westford Police.
