Unattended death under investigation in Halifax

HALIFAX, Mass. — Massachusetts State Police and Halifax Police are investigating the unattended death of an 83-year-old man, Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz confirmed.

The death occurred around 10 a.m. at 287 Holmes Street.

The man was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, where he was pronounced dead.

He's been identified as Henry Stukuls of Atkinson, New Hampshire.

According to Halifax property records, a Henry Stukuls owns the property at 285 Holmes Street, which is home to Maverick Furniture.

The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.

Cruz said foul play isn't suspected.
