U-Haul offers free 30-day storage for Cape residents affected by tornado

HYANNIS, Mass. — An EF1 tornado with 110 mph winds ripped off a hotel roof, downed trees that blocked roads, and knocked out power to thousands on Cape Cod on Tuesday during the peak of tourist season.

The National Weather Service says the tornado began in Yarmouth and ended in Harwich.

No injuries have been reported, but families and companies are still assessing all the damage left behind.

That's where U-Haul is offering to help.
