Six players and both teams’ managers were tossed after the bench-clearing brawl erupted in the second inning, following two days of mounting tension over inside pitches boiled over, ESPN reported.

According to the sports news network, three of the first four hitters in the Mariners’ lineup and three Angels’ pitchers were among those players ejected.

The bad blood between the two teams began Saturday night when Mariners pitcher Erik Swanson nearly struck Angels star Mike Trout’s head in the ninth inning with an errant pitch. Meanwhile, on Sunday, Angels starter Andrew Wantz almost clipped Mariners’ star rookie Julio Rodriguez in the first and then struck Jesse Winker with a pitch in the second, CBS Sports reported.

That’s when the players emptied the dugouts. Watch below:

After the field cleared, Angels closer Raisel Iglesias threw large containers of sunflower seeds and gum onto the infield while screaming at the umpires, briefly reigniting tempers, ESPN reported.

According to CBS Sports, the umpires ejected Wantz, Winker, Rodriguez, Iglesias, J.P. Crawford, Angels reliever Ryan Tepera, Los Angeles interim manager Phil Nevin and Mariners manager Scott Servais.
