Officials: 4 people killed in Oklahoma; suspect arrested in Florida

KINGFISHER COUNTY, Okla. — Officials announced Tuesday evening that a suspect wanted for their alleged involvement in a quadruple homicide case in Oklahoma has been arrested in Florida.

According to a news release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, OSBI has been able to confirm that a suspect is in custody for their alleged involvement in the murders of four people in Oklahoma. The suspect was identified as Wu Chen.

According to KOKI, the Miami Beach Police Department arrested Chen on a warrant with OSBI after a car tag reader flagged the car that Chen was driving. Chen was arrested just before 4 p.m. and was transported to the Miami-Dade County Detention Center. He is awaiting extradition back to Oklahoma.

OSBI said Chen is facing murder and shooting with intent to kill charges.

According to KOKI, the four people were found murdered on a marijuana farm just north of Lacey, Oklahoma. KOKI reported that it was a prior hostage situation. The four people were found after 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Another victim was seriously hurt and taken to a hospital. According to KOKI, it was three men and a woman who were killed. They were people who reportedly lived and worked on the farm grounds.

According to The Associated Press, next-of-kin notification is still pending. Police say that it is still pending due to “a significant language barrier.”

According to the AP, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Control is also investigating the deaths of the four people.
