As the effort to inoculate Americans against the COVID-19 virus continues those who want the vaccine are becoming frustrated by the slow rollout many communities around the country are seeing.
A Gallup poll conducted earlier this month showed that 65% of Americans want to be vaccinated for the novel coronavirus, with seniors being the most willing of all age groups to want a vaccine.
According to Gallup, 74% of adults 65 and older are willing to be vaccinated, but being able to get the vaccine is the problem many in that age group are facing.
President Joe Biden announced Tuesday that the U.S. is ramping up deliveries of vaccines to states over the next three weeks and expects to provide enough doses to vaccinate 300 million Americans by the end of the summer or early fall, according to The Associated Press.
The administration said it plans to buy another 100 million doses each from Pfizer and Moderna, the two companies whose vaccines are being distributed now, to ensure it has enough vaccines for the long term.
