PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 14-year-old boy who was found dead two weeks ago after going for a bicycle ride near his South Florida home, authorities said Wednesday.
Ryan Rogers, of Palm Beach Gardens, was found dead on Nov. 16 near Interstate 95, according to WPEC.
A spokesperson for the Palm Beach Gardens Police Department told WPEC that a male suspect was arrested in Miami on Wednesday. Police, who did not release the suspect’s name, said there would be a news conference on Thursday at 10 a.m. EST with more details, WPTV reported.

Police found Rogers’ body near an I-95 overpass a day after his mother, Cindi Rogers, reported the high school freshman missing. In a news release, police said that Rogers’ death was considered a homicide.

Rogers attended William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens and was an avid soccer player.
