Coronavirus: Oklahoma student knowingly infected with virus attends first day of school

MOORE, Okla. — A student who was knowingly infected with the coronavirus attended classes on the first day of school, Oklahoma public school officials said.

Moore Public Schools sent letters to parents Friday after administrators learned the infected student attended classes on Thursday, KOCO reported.

The student's parents misunderstood the end of quarantine date, officials said.

Officials said the school has been cleaned and disinfected. School nurses also completed tracing and identified students, teachers and staff who might have come into contact with the student.
