Coronavirus: Kimberly Guilfoyle, Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend, tests positive

Kimberly Guilfoyle, a campaign fund raiser for Donald Trump who is dating the president’s eldest son, tested positive for the coronavirus, The Washington Post reported Friday.

Guilfoyle, who is dating Donald Trump Jr., traveled to South Dakota in hopes of watching the president’s speech at Mount Rushmore. She and Trump Jr. did not travel on Air Force One, The New York Times reported.

Guilfoyle was the only person in the presidential entourage who tested positive, the newspaper reported.

The president arrived in South Dakota just as authorities removed dozens of demonstrators who were blocking a key road to the national monument, the Post reported.

Guilfoyle is the third person in possible proximity to the President who has been known to contract COVID-19, the Times reported. A personal valet to the president and the press secretary for Vice President Mike Pence tested positive for the coronavirus in May, the newspaper reported.

Guilfoyle attended the president’s indoor rally last month in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Before and since that rally, several campaign staffers and Secret Service personnel have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Times.

Earlier this week, Herman Cain, a former Republican presidential candidate who also attended the Tulsa rally, said he had been hospitalized with the virus.

On Saturday, the president is expected to watch military displays and the annual fireworks show from the White House, the Post reported. Before heading to South Dakota, the president spent several hours golfing at his private club in Sterling, Virginia.

Guilfoyle and Trump Jr. plan to drive from South Dakota to the East Coast, a source told the Times.
