Artists paint mural in less than 24 hours to honor Ruth Bader Ginsburg

WASHINGTON — A mural depicting the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg was painted near the Black Lives Matter Plaza over the weekend less than 24 hours after she died.

After hearing of her death, artists Shawn Perkins and Dez Zambrano painted the mural, at 1620 I St. NW, in one day, WJLA reported. The mural is about a block from the Black Lives Matter Plaza.

Another mural of Ginsburg at the corner of 15th and U Street NW served as a landmark Saturday for mourners who wanted to pay their respects, WJLA reported.

The associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States died Friday at the age of 87 of complications from pancreatic cancer.
