FAIRFIELD, Ala. — One person was killed and four others were hurt in a drive-by shooting in Alabama, authorities said.

According to WBRC and WIAT, the incident occurred about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at a park on Glen Crest Drive in Fairfield. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said gunfire erupted from a passing vehicle, striking five men, the news outlets reported.
Emergency crews pronounced one man dead and rushed the four others to a nearby hospital, deputies said. No further details about the victims’ identities or conditions were immediately available.
No suspects have been arrested in connection with what authorities are describing as a targeted shooting, according to the news outlets.
