Jai Fears told WJBK-TV that she was three hours into having her zombie-like makeup applied for the campaign when she was rushed to Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital.

"We were getting ready to do a photo shoot to do some marketing for Glam Gore for people who want to get their makeup done for the Halloween season," Fears told WJBK.

She said she suddenly had an attack.

"It literally just shot up to my brain and it just caused like a really bad reaction,” she said.

She said she was taken to the hospital in full makeup and that the medical staff didn’t realize it.

“Let's get her back to trauma now and she's probably going into shock, she's not making any sense,” Fears said she heard the medical workers say.

She said attending technicians at the level one trauma center didn't realize she was wearing a costume, but she told the news station they should have.

"I did not say anything because I just assumed they could see that it was fake," she told WJBK.

The hospital issued a stern statement on the incident: “The emergency room is not a place for fun and games. They see many patients with severe medical issues where lives are at stake. Doctors need to be able to focus on those patents with true emergencies.”
