The list was released Wednesday morning, and represents "a unique mix spanning government, business, entertainment, health, sports and science," Time said on its website.

Of the Time 100, only six honorees get magazine covers: Oh, King, singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, actor and wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, U.S. Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Egyptian professional soccer player Mohamed Salah.

"I am so humbled," King said Wednesday on “CBS This Morning.” King added that she’s long been an attendee of the Time 100 Summit, an annual networking event in New York City, and is honored to now attend the summit as a Time 100 influencer.

Johnson tweeted about being honored.

“Positive influence on people’s lives is the greatest (and most powerful) strength one could ever have,” he wrote.

"In many ways, these connections -- forged across and among industries -- are the heart of the TIME 100, which now, in its 16th year, is far more than a list," Time Editor-In-Chief Edward Felsenthal wrote of the list. "It is a community of hundreds of global leaders, many of whom support and challenge one another. And at a time when so many of our problems require cross-disciplinary solutions, they are also uniquely positioned to effect change."
