9-year-old girl donates 130 bikes to charity

GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY, Mich. — A little girl in Michigan is spreading a message of kindness to others this holiday season.

Piper Shumar, 9, collected cans to help buy bikes for kids who otherwise can't afford to have one, WPBN reported.

Last year she donated two bikes. This year she set a goal of donating 10 bikes to the Bikes for Tikes campaign.

But she blew that out of the water.

She collected 50,000 cans, enough to pay for 130 bikes, all donated to Bikes for Tikes, WPBN reported.
