Teen taken to hospital after coyote attack in Swampscott

SWAMPSCOTT, Mass. — A 17-year-old was taken to the hospital after being attacked by a coyote in Swampscott, police say.

The teenager was attacked around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, and was taken to the North Shore Medical Center.

The incident happened on Essex Street behing Swampscott High School.

Police say they are no longer searching for the coyote after the incident.
