• Teen injured after being bitten by coyote in her driveway

    NORWELL, Mass. - Parents and pet owners are on alert after authorities say a local teenager was attacked by a coyote. 

    Norwell Police put out an alert to residents after being called to a home on First Parish Road Sunday evening. Police say a 16-year-old was sitting on her driveway when a coyote approached her and bit her.

    The animal took off into the woods. Environmental Police were contacted and searched the area, but could not find the animal. 

    The teen suffered minor injuries.

    Police want to remind parents to keep an eye on your pets and children and to always stay away from wildlife.
