Study: Logan most kid-friendly airport in the country

BOSTON — Boston Logan International Airport has been ranked the most kid-friendly airport in the country, according to a study by the website Upgraded Points.

Logan was the only airport of the 50 looked at for the study to get a perfect score.

The study noted how the airport offers “Kidsport” play areas in three terminals. The indoor playgrounds, which were designed by Boston Children’s Museum, feature a baggage claim slide, a climbable airplane, a replica built of the airport’s control tower and slides.

Logan also got points for the play areas being located close to bathrooms for much needed potty breaks and rocking chairs being scattered across the airport for parents with babies.

Another highlight was unlimited free access to Wi-Fi, which can keep children with electronic devices occupied for hours.

Portland International Airport, San Francisco International Airport, O’Hare International Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport rounded out the top five spots.
