Southborough Police searching for crawling thieves

SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. — Southborough Police are investigating a break-in at a local liquor store where two masked people were seen crawling through the store to avoid being seen on security cameras.

On July 29, just before 8:30 a.m., Southborough Police were called to Sperry's Liquors on Turnpike Road to investigate a break-in that happened overnight.

Police say surveillance footage showed two masked people in the store around 4:20 a.m. The people were crawling with dark bags to avoid being captured on security cameras.

Police say a lot of cigarettes and liquor was taken.

Similar incidents have happened in Millbury, Northborough, and Dracut. Southborough Police are working with agencies in those towns and say it's "highly likely" it is the same group of people.

Anyone with information should call police at (774)-249-0355.
