BOSTON — A Winter Weather Advisory was issued for central and western Massachusetts from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Snow showers moved into parts of western Mass, and came down in central Massachusetts around 7 a.m.
The big concern was the snow and sleet possibly making for slick travel, especially outside of 495 where the Winter Weather Advisory is in effect.
The snow and sleet changed over to rain in the afternoon, with some parts switching to freezing rain.
Temps above freezing in Boston, but freezing inland. Untreated roads will be snow & sleet covered be careful as you head out this AM. @boston25 pic.twitter.com/IkzJ9CcNxh
