Skeletal human remains found in Wareham, police investigating

A burglar was polite enough to remove his shoes when he broke into a Milwaukee condominium Thursday.

WAREHAM, Mass. — The Wareham Police Department and Massachusetts State Police are investigating after skeletal human remains were found near Cranberry Plaza.

On Monday, October 21, patrol officers and detectives responded to a report of possible remains in an "area of thick growth adjacent to the plaza."

The person who discovered the remains was looking for a lost item.

It is unknown how long the body was there and "concealed by heavy vegetation," according to police.

This is an active and on-going investigation and no further information is being released at this time.
