BOSTON - On Thursday, the State House was packed with supporters for the sixth annual Down Syndrome Advocacy Day.
Boston 25 News anchor Mark Ockerbloom had the honor of hosting the event where several supporters and self-advocates spoke about making Down syndrome legislation a priority at the State House.
One of the main focuses was a higher education bill that would help people living with all disabilities to pursue college careers.
The higher education bill is sponsored by several state reps and senators who were honored by the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress for their efforts.
