Rockland woman stabbed in her driveway, Boston woman facing charges

ROCKLAND, Mass. — A Boston woman is facing multiple charges in connection with a stabbing in Rockland, Rockland Police Lieutenant Nicholas Zeoli told Boston 25 News.

Lisa Roberto, 46, of Mattapan, was arraigned Thursday on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault to murder while armed and aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. A judge ordered her held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing Friday.

Police said Roberto works for Canton-based Atlantic Trans and was summoned to 510 Webster Street in Rockland Wednesday to transport a woman to and from a location in Brockton.

During the return trip, Roberto and the woman got into a verbal argument, which turned physical when they arrived at the woman's house around 11 a.m. Roberto got out of the car and stabbed the woman multiple times in the arms, shoulder and chest, according to police.

Roberto drove off and the victim went inside her home and called 911.

The victim was rushed to South Shore Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Massachusetts State Police and Canton Police assisted Rockland Police in locating Roberto in Canton. She was brought to Rockland Police for questioning and released. Police later developed probable cause after analyzing a knife they found in Roberto's purse and arrested her at her home in Mattapan late Wednesday night.

The victim underwent surgery and is currently in serious, but stable condition.

Boston 25 News called a phone number listed for Atlantic Trans, but no one answered.
