The Public's Radio reports that the rule applies to providers who receive funding under Title X, a federal program that funds reproductive health services for low-income patients. The Trump administration says it will cut Title X funding to any provider who does not comply with the new rule.
Jane Hayward, the president of the state's association for health centers, says the state's community health centers are complying with the rule.
Hayward says doctors may discuss abortion with patients, but their guidance must be "nondirective." So if they give patients a list of possible options for care, they aren't allowed to say which provide abortion services.
