The Providence Journal reports that a pest control company will bring the dogs to inspect the Garrahy Judicial Complex in Providence on Saturday to see if any bedbugs remain after previous treatments.
Courts spokeswoman Kara Picozzi says the inspection's results will be reviewed alongside results from a separate inspection conducted Thursday.
A union that represents court clerks and deputy sheriffs asked the state judiciary on Tuesday to close the complex and relocate workers after bedbugs were found on the third and fifth floors.
Union president J. Michael Downey said Friday that workers are glad officials are bringing the dogs. He said the union is monitoring the situation.
