PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A correctional officer is charged for allegedly trying to use a counterfeit $20 bill at a nightclub.

Providence police arrested 48-year-old Iris Rodriguez-Jones on Saturday after they say she tried to use a fake bill for pay a cover charge at the Dark Lady nightclub.

The Providence Journal reports that when a security officer asked her to use "real money," Jones became argumentative, and said to contact the police.

    They called her bluff.

Rodriguez-Jones, a 27-year corrections official, was charged on Monday in district court for passing a counterfeit bill, and disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $5,000. The Department of Corrections says Rodriguez-Jones has been put on administrative leave from her $71,440 job. The name of Rodriguez-Jones' attorney is unknown at this time.
