BOSTON — MBTA Red Line service was suspended shortly after 8 a.m. Friday morning after a person was hit by a train.
Regular service was resumed by 9:10 a.m.
Transit officials said buses will replace service between JFK and Ashmont.

The person was hit by a train at Fields Corner in Dorchester. According to MBTA spokesperson Joe Pesaturo, the victim was transported conscious and alert.
The Boston Fire Department responded to the scene at around 8 a.m. in order to assist with removing the person struck by the train from the track.
