CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — A stabbing led to a police pursuit through multiple towns on Wednesday.
According to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office, Belmont Police showed up at a home on Partridge Lane for a reported fight between a man and a woman at around 9:40 a.m. after neighbors heard a woman screaming.
"The woman was on the ground and the guy was on top. Struggling and then tried to run away," neighbor Zhijie Sui told Boston 25 News.

When police arrived they say they found a woman stabbed.

Belmont Police say after the stabbing, the man jumped in a car and drove off, prompting a pursuit through several towns. Police took him into custody after he crashed on Route 16 near Mass Ave in Cambridge.

Witnesses told us first responders were treating the suspect at the scene before he was taken away by an ambulance.
The woman remains in the hospital.
Police say the two knew each other and police are continuing to investigate this incident.
