Police: Woman stole $8k worth of diamonds from Macy's at Auburn Mall

AUBURN, Mass. — A woman from Connecticut is accused of trying to steal $8,000 worth of diamonds and then run from the Macy’s at the Auburn Mall, Auburn Police Chief Andrew Sluckis reported on Tuesday.

Officers caught up to Genesis Garcia, 24, of Waterbury, and arrested her. She’s charged with larceny and unauthorized use of a stolen credit card.

Garcia will be arraigned on Wednesday at Worcester District Court.
