Police: Man arrested for indecently assaulting teen girl at Faneuil Hall

BOSTON — A man is on house arrest, accused of indecently assaulting a teenage girl at Faneuil Hall.

Police are crediting a group of street performers for helping them make the arrest after the disturbing scene unfolded.

"They were doing 'The Single Ladies' and I heard a scream," Breeze Team Entertainment founder James Geddie said.

Police say Jaime Aguilar was "apparently filming his activity with his phone" while assaulting the girl.

"Then I saw the guy running," Breeze Team's Christopher Thomas said.

The girl's family, visiting from Spain, started pointing and yelling what the man did and he was trying to get away.

Police say the Breeze Team street performers grabbed the suspect and held him until officers arrive.

"I chased him down. I tripped him," Thomas said. "I had him like this. I had him ... saying, 'don't move.'"

They also grabbed the man's phone and saw the videos of what he was allegedly doing behind the girl.

"I have never seen that, so that kinda bugged me out," Geddie said.

The family tracked down the Breeze Team a couple of hours later.

"They came back, saw us over here and give us love," Thomas said.

To help prevent this kind of thing from happening again, they're reminding people to stay alert during the show.

"There's nothing to be proud of, this is something you know you have to do in that moment," another team member, Malik Young, said.

The judge ordered the suspect to be under house arrest and on a GPS monitor. He's scheduled to be back in court later this month.
