Police investigating violent single-car crash in Dorchester

BOSTON — Several people were injured after a violent crash in Dorchester with police having to cut the car in order to free the occupants.

The car ended up on the median at Columbia Road and Hancock Street just after 1 a.m. Monday.

It’s not clear what led up to the single-car crash but emergency crews had to cut open the car to free the people inside. At least two people were seen being extricated from the car and transported to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries is not known.

Boston 25 News has reached out to Boston Police for more information on the crash and the conditions of those injured.
