FITCHBURG, Mass. — Police in Fitchburg have confirmed they are investigating a shooting on the same street where a man was shot to death last week.
Police were called to Blossom Street for a reported shooting around 2:15 Monday morning. One person was taken to an area hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
According to police, the shooting happened near where a man was killed on Thursday night.

On the same night last week, another shooting happened just a mile away and 25 minutes apart on Goddard Street. The victim in that shooting was injured but survived.
Police have not said whether the shootings are related or not.
No further details have been released at this time.
