YARMOUTH, Mass. — Police on Cape Cod are investigating the death of a 2-month-old.
Emergency responders were dispatched to a home in West Yarmouth just before 7 a.m. Tuesday for a report that an infant was not breathing, unconscious, and CPR was started.
When they got to the home, they found a woman performing CPR on the living room floor. Two police officers took over and continued CPR until firefighters arrived and took the baby to Cape Cod Hospital.
According to police, the infant was unable to be revived and has died.
Yarmouth Police, along with Mass. State Police, are investigating. Mass. DCF was also notified.
No additional information was released.
