Police investigating break-in at home where Haverhill teen was killed

HAVERHILL, Mass. — Just one week after a Haverhill teen was killed at his front door, police are investigating another crime at the same home.

Bryce Finn was shot in the chest and killed last Tuesday at his Rainbow Drive home, and over the weekend someone broke in to his home.

“Bryce, he was a good guy, everyone knew him as a good person. No one would’ve never thought he would be in a situation like this,” Luis Chavarria said.

The break-in happened Saturday afternoon in broad daylight, but Haverhill police have not released any other details about the breaking and entering call.

“It’s crazy, that means he still out there, no one knows who it is. You could be at the same store as him and you wouldn’t even know it. It’s so crazy,” Chavarria said.

Finn had just graduated from Haverhill High School days before he was shot to death.

“I just seen him at graduation up there, getting his diploma, and a few days after, this happened, it’s crazy,” Chavarria said.

Friends tell Boston 25 News, he lived in this house with his girlfriend and sibling.

“Life is just too crazy, I don’t know why this happened, what made this person do that. I hope he does get caught and get the consequences,” Chavarria said.

Police haven’t said if the break-in was connected to the murder, but they have said it wasn’t a random act.

Neighbors tell Boston 25 News they’re frustrated by the lack of information, because they want to know where the investigation stands.
