Homicide detectives were on the scene on Forest Street early Wednesday morning. The victim's body was found outside just after 1 a.m.
A neighbor who did not want to be identified told FOX25's Catherine Parrotta that what he heard Wednesday morning was unmistakable.
"I heard various shots, more than I wouldn't expected if it was a shooting," the man said. "There was a brief pause between each shot, so it was unique to anything I've heard before."
Police were at the scene for hours until the investigation began wrapping up around 5:45 a.m.
