Two people injured in Lynn barbershop shooting

BOSTON — Two people have non-life-threatening injuries after an incident at a Lynn barbershop, police said.

On Thursday afternoon, police told Boston 25 News they were called to 210 Lewis Street for a shooting.

That address is for a 7-Eleven in Lynn near the causeway to Nahant. However, police later told Boston 25 News a man was shot inside a barbershop across the street. Another person inside was grazed by a bullet.

Later Thursday evening, Lynn Police told Boston 25 News reporter Natalie Rubino the barbershop owner was not shot in the head, and was never actually shot at all. Police say the man was taken to Mass. General Hospital where doctors determined he hadn't been shot in the head, but that he had a wound from either falling or getting hit with something.

Police say the other person was grazed by a bullet, and they are searching for the shooter.

Editor's Note: Previous versions of this story reported that a man was shot in the head at a barbershop. Police later sent Boston 25 News a correction that doctors determined that he was not shot.
