CONCORD, Mass. — A person was hit by a train in Concord, Massachusetts Thursday afternoon, according to the police department there.
MBTA officials said a 70-year-old woman was hit by the inbound train. The woman was seriously injured and Boston MedFlight was called in to airlift her to the hospital.

The intersection near Sudbury Road and Thoreau Street was closed for the investigation and the MedFlight.
Fitchburg Train 416 was stopped and delayed nearly a half-hour due to the strike. The MBTA said about 25 people were on the train and no other injuries were reported.
Other emergency services were called to the scene to help with the rescue and the investigation.
