Person hit by car in East Boston

BOSTON — Boston Police said a pedestrian was hit by a car on Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened at around 2:30 p.m. in the area of 1140 Saratoga Street in East Boston.

The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital. It is unclear what was the extent of their injuries or their current condition.

Police say the driver remained on scene.
