LEXINGTON, Mass. — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit and killed by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 95 north in Lexington early Friday.
Massachusetts State Police said a 40-year-old truck driver from Northampton, Pennsylvania was driving north on I-95 between exits 30A and 30B at 3:45 a.m. when he hit a man in the roadway.
The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Troopers on-scene of motor vehicle-pedestrian crash, Rt 95 north, Lexington, in area of service center. Pedestrian transported from the scene with life threatening injuries. Right two lanes closed.

State police are investigating the crash, including why the man was in the road. The man has not yet been identified.
No charges have been filed.
