WESTWOOD, Mass. — Another truck driver fell victim to a railroad bridge in Westwood Friday morning.
A Hood branded 18-wheeler got wedged under the truck along East Street shortly after 7 a.m., shutting down the road and bringing in recovery crews.
Sky 25 was over the scene as a Commuter Rail train passed over the bridge.
Just got this photo of a truck stuck under a notorious bridge in Westwood. It’s only 10’ 4” and work is underway to STOP crashes like this from happening.

The bridge, originally built in 1911, recently underwent the first phase of renovations meant to lower the road beneath it to prevent trucks from hitting it.
Yet again, a truck has struck the low clearance Dedham East street rail bridge after recent renovations. East street is closed at this time. Could it be insufficient markings ?? @boston25 pic.twitter.com/YwLaZLMWWY

The Franklin Line of the Commuter Rail was interrupted in October and November to complete the repairs.
The work to lower the road will happen early next year after the winter.
