• NH teacher arrested for hypothetical threat to shoot student

LONDONDERRY, N.H. - A middle school teacher in New Hampshire has been arrested for hypothetically threatening to shoot a student, according to police.

Steven Dwyer was arrested in November after officers say he told a student if he had a gun, he would shoot him.

"I don't believe in guns or have a gun, but if I did, I would shoot you because you have your head down and not paying attention," the police report quotes Dwyer as saying.

Other students allegedly told police they witnessed the incident.

Dwyer was placed on leave by the school superintendent.
