GREENLAND, N.H. — The children and driver who were injured in a bus crash in New Hampshire on Friday have all been released from hospitals and are recovering.
The bus with 11 children and 2 camp counselors from the Kittery Community Center in Maine crashed off Interstate 95 in Greenland, New Hampshire Friday morning on the way to an adventure park
Kendra Amaral, Kittery town manager, said the town is investigating the crash and the driver has been placed on leave, as is protocol, and all transportation for the summer programs will be provided by a contractor.
"There are a number of questions that need answering in order for us to begin healing as a community. I am working to get these answers as quickly as possible," Amaral said in a statement.
She also said the town is cooperating with New Hampshire State Police on what caused the crash, including any information that the van's 'black box' may have recorded.
