New charges filed against Dorchester man filmed in alleged racist rant

DORCHESTER, Mass. — Additional charges have been filed against a Dorchester man who was caught on camera yelling expletives at two motorcyclists in Dorchester, according to Boston Police.

The man, identified as Dorchester native and Keolis Commuter Services employee Paul Sheehan, was arrested for disorderly conduct on Aug 3 after yelling at two black motorcyclists in a swear-filled rant, telling them to get out of his neighborhood.

On Friday, Boston Police added new charges for Sheehan, including civil rights violations.

Sheehan is facing two counts of threat to do bodily harm, four counts of civil rights violation with no bodily injury and two counts of threat to do property damage.

Sources told Boston 25 News after the incident happened that Keolis was in the process of removing Sheehan as an employee.

"As a local employer and a company providing a service to the public, we have absolutely no tolerance for this type of reprehensible (sic) conduct or language in or outside the workplace," Keolis spokesperson Justin Thompson said. "The matter is under investigation and we don’t comment on personnel matters.”
