FITCHBURG, Mass. - High school graduation is a milestone early in life. One we celebrate with friends and family.

But for Madison Davis, a senior at North Middlesex Regional High Shcool, not everyone in her family was there.

    Or so she thought....

Naval Petty Officer 3rd Class Zak Davis is stationed at Sigonella Naval Base in Italy.

On Friday night, he made it all the way to Fitchburg to see his sister and her friends close this chapter and prepare for the next.

"I missed you. I missed you," Madison told Zak.

"It's awesome, I can't believe time goes by so quick," he said.

On this night, a brother and sister hit the pause button to savor the moment.

"It means the entire world to me that he was able to come halfway across the world to see me again...so it was awesome," she said.

    Graduation turned family reunion.

"I didn't expect. I couldn't ask for anything more," Madison said.

This fall, Madison is off to St. Anslems in New Hampshire.
