Police are investigating after a suspicious man was seen driving around Natick High School offering rides to students.

On Monday afternoon, surveillance cameras show a car pulling up to the school, right near the faculty parking lot.The driver, who is seen driving what seems to be a dark Chevy Cruz, then asks a student if they needed a ride - and the student said no.

"It didn’t say many details, said it was an elderly male that pulled up to a student here, and asked him if he needed a ride," said Kathy Fleming, a parent.

Fleming told Boston 25 News she learned about the news on Twitter.

"It didn’t say what the student said, but then he drove off and I guess used some foul language," said Fleming.

"I just had basketball practice, I watched the game after, someone came up to me and said, 'Hear about the creepy man that was outside?'" said Patrick Fleming, a student.

Natick Police say the interaction only lasted a few seconds, but the student was able to identify the man as having a full head of gray hair and that he was wearing a polo-type shirt.

The student told authorities the man did not seem to be employed by the school.

"It’s scary, I go in and out of school all day," said Patrick Fleming.

Those living in the Natick area say they aren't used to making headlines.

"I'm shocked, I'm glad they have surveillance video," said Victoria Mauro, who lives in the area.

Police have not released any other information about this case, but are asking the public to come forward with any information they may have on the driver.

"I think it happens everywhere," said Fleming. "Watch out and be aware. There are bad people everywhere. We don’t know the whole story."
