Nashua man arrested after allegedly stabbing roommate

NASHUA, N.H. — A Nashua man was arrested after allegedly stabbing his roommate and leaving cuts on his face.

A warrant was put out for 26-year-old Gofur Alom's arrest Tuesday after his roommate called police and reported that he had been stabbed and had blood on his face.

The victim said Alom was his roommate and the suspect, and police eventually arrested Alom early Wednesday morning.

Alom was charged with two counts of first degree assault, and was held on $20,000 bail.

The felony is punishable by up to 15 years in prison, excluding fines.

Alom is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
