MSP: Woman reportedly shot, taken to hospital with serious injuries

CANTON, Mass. — A woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds has been transported to a local hospital, State Police said.

State Police and Canton Police responded to 1st Lt. Arthur E. Farnham, Jr., and Sgt. Thomas M. Connolly, Jr. Memorial Park where they say a woman was found inside a parked vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim, who has not been identified yet, was taken to a Boston hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident, but have not ruled out the possibility that the injuries were self-inflicted.

No further information has been released at this time.
