MSP: Man driving without lights, license arrested for heroin trafficking

HOLYOKE, Mass. — A man pulled over for driving without lights on was arrested for cocaine and heroin possession Sunday night, according to Massachusetts State Police.

Eugenio Rivera-Narvaez, 33, was driving his GMC Yukon down Beech Street without lights when a state trooper stopped him, a release states.

State police don't say how the trooper came to search the vehicle, but Trooper Robert Berrena said he found 149 grams of heroin, 179 grams of crack cocaine and almost $4,000 in cash.

Police say Rivera-Narvaez was driving on a suspended license and was arrested for lights violation, operating with a suspended license, and trafficking in heroin and cocaine.

Rivera-Narvaez was held on $100,000 cash bail.
