Methuen Police seeking information relating to Sunday morning shooting

METHUEN, Mass. — Methuen Police are asking for the public's help in relation to a shooting Sunday morning.

Officers responded to reports of several gunshots fired around 5 a.m. in the area between 5 and 9 Independence Drive.

They located shell casings and searched around for further evidence of shots fired, suspects and victims. They also checked area hospitals but didn't find any gunshot victims.

While searching, many witnesses said they heard four to five shots fired and saw several people running away on foot before fleeing in a silver Honda CRV and a dark 4-door sedan.

Police are looking to check security cameras for any activity at residences in the area of Independence Drive, Constitution Way, and Pleasant Valley Street.
