Medford man dies in Mass. Pike motorcycle crash

BOSTON — A 21-year-old man from Medford died after crashing his motorcycle on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Boston Tuesday afternoon.

Massachusetts State Police said the unidentified man was riding a 2002 Kawasaki EX500 motorcycle eastbound in Boston when he went from the right travel lane to the left travel lane and hit a wall.

State police said speed is believed to be a factor in the crash and no other vehicles were involved.

The left travel lane was closed eastbound for almost two hours while crews investigated the crash, but it has since reopened.

No other information was released.
